fruit pizza roundup
I reached out to you guys asking for your fav fruit pizza recipes, and you delivered! There were SO many recommendations for the pre-made pillsbury sugar cookie dough, and since I was short on time we went with that for the dough. For the frosting I used this recipe from A Bountiful Kitchen. It was amazing, and such a hit!
Other blogger recommendations:
1 stick of softened butter, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup sour cream (you can add 1-2 tablespoons more to make it softer), 3 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pre-heat oven to 375. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla, then add sour cream. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to creamed mixture. Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. - Recipe from Kjirsta Yardley
Frosting Ideas:
Cream together two packs cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla and a little bit of heavy cream.
Whipped cream!
Cream cheese and marshmallow fluff mixed.
3 oz. cream cheese, 2 tablespoon milk, 3/4 cups butter softened, 2.5 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Cream butter and cream cheese together, then beat in vanilla and milk. Gradually add powdered sugar so frosting is desired consistency. Recipe from Kjirsta Yardley.
Topping Ideas:
Strawberries, Kiwi, Mandarin Oranges, Raspberry, Blueberries.
Chopped walnuts, pears, honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon and/or nutmeg. YUM!
